What good are these stamps if not to raise awareness for a good cause?


This was taken from =CDFPhotography's journal...

"Illinois, California, New Jersey, are IN FAVOR OF a bill that will allow banning & exterminating these "vicious" breeds: pit bulls, rottweilers, and staffordshire terriers, (among other so called "vicious" dogs, based on their breed alone) meaning that your faithful companion will be killed. ARE YOU GOING TO LET THAT HAPPEN? IF YOU LIVE IN THE ABOVE STATES, PLEASE WRITE TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND LET THEM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. ... LETS TAKE A STAND FOR OUR BELOVED PETS, YOU KNOW THAT THEY WOULD GIVE THEIR LIFE FOR YOU."

Please visit her journal for more information [link] If you do or have ever owned a dog, loved a dog, been helped by a dog, of any breed, this should really upset you. It does me anyway. If you agree, please put this stamp in your journal or shoutboard to help raise awareness. Today, it's pit bulls, rottweilers, and staffordshire terriers, tomorrow it will be whatever else they want...

If for some reason, you disagree with this cause, don't bother trying to argue with me, it won't do you any good.

I had a Doberman for many years (9 years) and he was the most gentle loving giant of a dog that ever walked this earth, 2 things he hated drunks (for some unkown reason) and people that acted like they might hurt me or my family other than that he was a big kid and all though Doberman's aren't listed in this group if they get away with this they'll be on the next list

My home province, Ontario, tried to do that too specifically for pit bulls and suceeded. However, there has been an appeal, and likely within a couple months the bill will be destroyed and torn into itty bitty shreds :D
