Artist's Comments

While I must admit that I am as addicted to my TV as most, I am not proud of it.

Some thoughts on the Television from movies and music...

"...No escape from the mass mind rape, 'Play it Again Jack, and then rewind the tape. Now play it again, and again, and again, until their MIND is LOCKED IN'. Believe all the LIES that they're tellin ya, BUYIN' all the products that they're SELLIN' ya. They say 'jump' and you say 'How High?'..." ~from "Bullet In The Head" by Rage Against The Machine

"...advertising has us chasing cars, working jobs we hate, to buy stuff WE DON'T NEED" ~from Fight Club

"Eyes on the TV, cause TRAGEDY thrills me, whatever flavor it happens to be like, 'killed by the husband', 'drowned by the ocean', 'shot by his own son', she used a poison in his tea, and kissed him goodbye'. That's my kind of story, it's no fun till someone DIES. Don't look at me like I am a monster, frown out your one face, but with the other stare like a JUNKIE into the TV, stare like a ZOMBIE..." ~from "Vicarious" by TOOL

The poor, maligned television. It is simply circuitry. It cannot lie. It is the humans that broadcast to the TV who should be held to account for the lies. Be kind to your TV. Watch Animal Planet :D

Very good point you make here :). You're absolutely right, it's not the TV that lies but the man behind the curtain :D. My wife and I do watch quite a bit of Animal Planet actually ;). Thanks for the comment :)

:blowkiss: I also highly recommend the Discovery Channel, particularly if the Mythbusters are on.

We watch a lot of Discovery and A&E and the History channel. I look for the things that seem least likely to rot my brain :giggle:.

They are few and far between. I usually watch CNBC during the day. Even that will rot your brain.

There comes a time when you look into the mirror and realize that what
you see is all that you will ever be. Then you accept it, or you kill
yourself. Or you stop looking into mirrors.
